The Sweet Spot Bakery Café - Weare

My family and I look forward to coming here everytime we are in Weare. Everything is fantastic but the trifles, biscuits and donuts are our go to items. The staff is also amazing, they know how much I love their trifles and always go out of their way to make them when I visit!

I was able to go to Just Like Mom?s on a whim, unfortunately most of the time when I?m driving by there they are closed due to the time of day. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! I was not expecting so much from such an unassuming building! The lot has plenty of parking, the grounds and the interior are clean and tidy, the staff are professional and polite. There were so many options for pastries and goodies! I ended up getting multiple items. I even went back for theirchocolate sugared donut after trying a sample ? I usually don?t care much for donuts, but this one was literally one of the best chocolate sugared donuts I?ve ever had. Highly recommend this place!

My favorite bakery and lunch spot! My husband and I eat here at least once a week. The ownership has recently changed, but the quality remains unchanged. I can't wait to see all the exciting new things the new owners will bring to the menu!

I absolutely love The Sweet Spot—it’s a fantastic place with the perfect name and incredibly friendly staff. And let me tell you about their donuts—they are the most delicious things I have ever tasted! Trying to explain them to someone just doesn’t do them justice; they're simply out of this world! I had the strawberry vanilla cake donuts with an orange sugar coating, and oh my goodness! They’re so light and melt in your mouth. Each flavor is distinct, yet they all blend beautifully together, and you find yourself savoring each one repeatedly without realizing you've devoured the entire donut! They are truly amazing! I would offer to bring you some, but I would likely end up eating them all on the way to your house, so just go and experience them for yourself!

The ambiance of the place is bright and cozy, making it a lovely spot to sit and enjoy some coffee along with good conversation. Be sure to chat with the new owners, Jackie and Jim, who genuinely want to please their customers. They are far from the grumpy owners mentioned in last year’s reviews; they listen to feedback and have even started baking some gluten-free options based on requests. Jackie, a long-time local resident and skilled baker, opened her own shop and only uses fresh ingredients, demonstrating her expertise. Jim, who has extensive experience with breakfast items and sandwiches, has introduced his grandmother's famous pork pie, known as "Big Ma's" pie, as a takeaway option. Though I haven't tried it yet, I've heard other customers rave about it. I highly recommend giving The Sweet Spot a visit!
