Wow! The food was incredible! The pear and beet salad was delightful! They offered an excellent wine selection, and the staff was not only helpful but also very friendly! The restaurant had a charming and romantic atmosphere, perfect for our dinner date!

On a positive note, the restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly. However, there were too many servers just standing around at the back of the restaurant near our table, which was a bit uncomfortable. With only three tables occupied, it seemed excessive to have over five servers doing nothing, alongside the other staff who were working.

Our server was fantastic—attentive and knowledgeable, she offered excellent suggestions throughout our meal. We began with a bottle of Chianti, which complemented our dinner nicely. We sampled three appetizers, and our favorite was the Warm Eggplant Caponata, which reminded us of a rustic ratatouille and paired beautifully with the crusty bread served after we placed our order. The Bosc Pear Slow Roasted Beet Salad was tasty, but not our top choice. We also tried the Grilled Peach Salad special; however, we were surprised to find that only the radicchio was grilled, not the peaches. Taking our server's advice, we ordered the Housemade Fettuccini with Italian Sausage Ragu and Fresh Ricotta, which turned out to be an excellent recommendation. The sauce was warm and comforting, and the handmade noodles were cooked to perfection— we cleared the plate! My husband also ordered the Local Sunburst Trout, which he found well-prepared, although it was a bit bland. For dessert, we indulged in their Tiramisu, which was a delightful way to finish our meal. Overall, while we felt the food was closer to a three-star experience this time, our server's warmth and attentiveness made our visit much more enjoyable. We would definitely consider returning to Glass Onion on our next trip to the area, focusing on their pasta offerings.

Decent food good service. Much better available for the price. Upscale Italian is a challenge around AVL but Cucina 24 Luminosa are good options.

Wow Weaverville! Outstanding Italian food ! Birthday Celebration, Started with Cocktails, Old Fashions and a Elderberry Fizz. Went on to have the most delicious Truffle Parm Fries, Calamari, and Garlic Knots. Ordered a Frogs Leap for wine with Dinner, delicious Caesar Salad and a Blue Cheese Salad. I had the Fresh Fettuccine with Sausage and Homemade Ricotta. It was wonderfully flavored but needed more Sausage. Another had Special Diver Scallops, Fresh and Sitting on Corn Polenta, another had the Seafood Ravioli, in a cream sauce. Made our little one fresh fettuccine with Butter and Parm , she ate every drop! Then Vanilla Creme Brûlée and Chocolate Mousse Cake for dessert! Incredible Meal!
