Army pot is delicious, so is the seafood pancake (very crispy). Environment is a bit dark, cute and clean. Have some sections that allow more private gather for 2-6people.Only two things to comment on is hoping for more seafood in the seafood pancake, and the way the bench are built for the sectional seating. As the bench depth is short and backing is straight, hard to sit comfortably. Also, from time to time you can feel the people behind you shaking legs or if they kick the bench or backing. I understand the restaurant is made for fast service not for long seating, so its fine.Overall great place for fried chicken, been coming here for years now before covid, now back again after everything is better and quality of food still good.
K-Pocha used to be a hidden gem in Mississauga for great Korean fried chicken! They're fairly small but have booths to seat larger groups, with curtains btw!! You can close the curtains once you've gotten your food for some privacy, which is nice! The atmosphere is dimly lit and there's definitely a more youthful vibe as they play loud music. They have variety of alcoholic drinks, as well as different flavours of Korean Soju. I always used to come here with my partner whenever we were craving KFC (Korean Fried Chicken), but sad to say the quality has gone down drastically after the lockdown. There have been multiple times where our chicken was JUST cooked, the texture being very slimy and soft, and times where the sauce on the chicken was cold. However, I do suggest to go out and try it for yourself because I'm hopeful they don't make those mistakes often. I highly recommend the soy garlic fried chicken and snow wing fries! They are a bit on the pricier side but the food is very filling.
Great service, good beer and delicious food. Free parking too.
The food was great; tteokbokki was super soft and chewy, rice cakes were salty and flavorful, loved the cheese too. But adding the cheese and fish cakes were extra and it added up quite a bit. The japchae was reallllly good, bursting with flavour but still was a great balance from the really have tteokbokki. The chicken, which is what it should be known for, was okay. We ordered boneless chicken and they got the order wrong and gave us boned chicken. I’ve been here twice and the first time I came, they got the chicken order wrong again. So it was kind of disappointing how they got the order wrong again. Last time they gave us free cheese corn which made up for their mistake. But this time, they didn’t do anything. The taste of the chicken obviously was good, but I think it was very overpriced too. Sticky and heavy. Def was too full after sharing these three dishes with 3 people.
Excellent food in an authentic Korean restaurant. The ambiance is cosy yet private and lively (good music). Raw beef is easy to mess up, but they nail it with a five-star quality dish! Boneless chicken is delicious, everything (even the fries) is tasty and crunchy. Army noodle is too salty but it might be the original flavor and style in the war time. They serve quickly and professionally. Price is affordable.
