If you wanna try very affordable Indian food on the go- this is the place. Variety is good. Food was good too. Value for money for sure. Seating arrangement isn't the best though. The tables are bit crowded for the space available. If you don't care about people eavesdropping on you while you munch, then this is the place for you.<br/ <br/ Let's come to the reason I visit most of the Indian restaurants- CHAI. Masala Chai to be precise. Desi Masala Chai to be precisely precise. <br/ <br/ This place would have been a 5 on 5 if tea didn't disappoint. No other place in Toronto serves Masala Chai for as low as $1.50. It was the desi style made chai. (Boiling water and milk along with other ingredients) The quantity was huge. <br/ BUT BUT BUT... They poured me the tea from a jug. The tea wasn't that fresh. Appeared to be re heated and stagnant for bit longer. Disappointed bit. Had it been freshly out of pot it would have been amazingly delicious. But I understand the outlet is too busy all the time and making one cup tea when tons of other people are waiting for food is bit difficult. But again... that's why you are their for service and if chai is not being treated with same respect then disappointment is inevitable.<br/ <br/ Sorry I was bit harsh. Food was delicious and in plenty for the price I paid. Improving tea serving quality can definitely help. Thanks. <br/ <br/ Happy Eating.
Good and OK. Went to Sweet India for the first time. The owners employees are very nice. They are opening a new location in the same plaza in the next few months. The samosas, pakoras and sweets were delicious. I enjoyed the sweets as they had much less sugar than other indian sweet places I 've tried. I found the naan bread to be soft and 'humid ' and did not tear easily. The dishes had decent flavour to them but could not compare to the quality at tandoori time on Albion. I will be back for samosa 's pakora 's sweets as they were great.
Great food an unbeatable price, friendly staff and owner!. The food and restaurant was basic but well prepare. Tastes authentic and simple, and the prices are hard to beat. The portion size was good no cheaping out here. The sweets were also very nice and fresh. The best part is the owner and staff they were very nice and warm. Even though this is really a fast food joint, it felt like family. I'd definitely reccommend this place and will go back!!!
