It has a great texture and very creamy. Perfect for a hot day but also anything really. <br/ <br/ • The Sakura Parfait was unique and very delicious. From the bottom to the top of the parfait you will find crunchy roasted brown rice, a thick layer of red bean, matcha soft serve, a chestnut, mochi and a cherry blossom cookie to top it off. The parfait is sweet, bitter, chewy, cold; an array of textures and flavors. Not too sweet but also not too bitter. Just perfect in my opinion. <br/ <br/ • A lot of times the taste of matcha especially strong ones can come across bitter if you are not used to it. Because of this, their desserts and drinks have different matcha levels you can choose from so that you can ease your way into the dishes. <br/ <br/ • 5/5<br/ <br/ Atmosphere:<br/ <br/ • It is a small shop with no seats available in it. Since it is in Square One mall and next to other eateries, there are communal seating outside the shop. <br/ <br/ Full Review: thelocalepicure.ca<br/ <br/ Instagram: @thelocalepicure
Matcha is not everyone's cup of tea it is a has a very strong taste but is full of antioxidants and recommenced if you are not big on sweet. The soft serve ice cream I had been seeing several people with while passing through the mall so I gave it a try it is the real matcha from Kyoto which is a plus when it's authentic the other small bites are enticing. I got quite a bit for $6.50 also has the old slush drink it was just as mouth watering very refreshing when I want something cold!
Finally, a sauga location. Still love their matcha soy latte. Tried their cheese tart dessert today... not bad but wouldn’t get it again for $5.25, not worth.
The O-Matcha Black Sesame Latte was wonderfully fragrant, with a strong nutty aroma emitting from the toasted sesame topping. Sesame and bittersweet Japanese green tea were combined in an approximate ratio of 3:7, yielding a product that was generally grassy with underlying notes of dark floral.<br/ <br/ Yuzu Houjicha, which I had requested over ice and with minimal sweetness, was refreshing and citrusy. The addition of both yuzu peel and yuzu jam contributed to a pleasant uniformity admist the roasted cinders of houjicha.
