Trouble is we can’t stop eating them Better than them battered orange rubbish you get elsewhere If you want serving fast don’t bother going here the queues sometimes are massive but that’s a good sign in my eyes. There are so many Fish Chip shops to choose from it’s a minefield. The last few we’ve tried haven’t hit the spot (some have been outright revolting). After reading a few reviews online I thought I’d give Carl’s a go. I’m so glad I did. The chips were fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside, the fish was white and flakey and tasted lovely. If I HAD to pick fault I’d say the batter was just a little too thick but even that was crisp. Nothing was swimming in grease either. Basically, what I’m trying to say is, WOW!
