Called in for lunch. We were seated in an alcove off the main restaurant. the room was a bit cramped and decorated with old faded prints of jazz musicians and singers. English menu on request. Tried the local speciality 'Sauerbraten ' , braised beef with red...cabbage and potato dumplings. Meat was very good, red cabbage indifferent and the dumplings weren 't that tasty. Service was good, a little unfriendly and the price was satisfactory.
At 3 pm it is difficult to find an open restaurant. I'm scared when we sit down. Almost no customers and no attention from the waiters. And then the mixed salad was well seasoned, the meat was delicious. The speciality, potatoes/flour dumplings, served...with smoked lax, were very good. Even the new waitress was charming.

The sauerkraut creme soup was delicious. I enjoyed my bratwurst, mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. My boyfriend had the Rinderroulade, but did not care for the potatoes (he doesn't like potato dumplings anyway). Along with 3 biers the total came to 43,00 euro to give you...an idea.
