Late Friday lunch at the bar of a nice steak house is a special thing. And Smith Wollensky in Wellesley is right there for it. A charming bartender who fashions excellent cocktails, a fun group that is happy to be there and just small enough to not be called a crowd, and some incredible food will make you want to never leave. So I’m not sure what the big deal about this place is. Very average food for big money. Presentations were almost sloppy. Tiny portions for big money. Chefs eating in front of customers. A lot of the staff just standing around doing nothing. You could go to Casey’s diner in Natick and be more satisfied in the end. Sorry but this experience was disappointing. Service: Dine in
