The Victoria At Holkham

We had dinner and were welcome and pleasantly surprised to see two dogs on our table for our two dogs. the experience was even better, as we received two free glasses from prosecco, as we had mentioned it was a special occasion to book. we also had a great table to see the swamps and wandering birds. all very nice. eating was extraordinary, even the roast beef was superb as the two puddings we chose. after the first very warm welcome we found the service a little missing. this became much worse than a later table of six came and we were then ignored to be deleted the point we had to ask for our main plates, and while the waitress asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu that she never actually returned with the menus. after 15 minutes or so we had to fly someone else for them. then no one came and took the pudding order for another 15 minutes, and again we landed, one waiter, who went and got another waiter? who finally took our job to pudding. if it had not been a special occasion, we would have given up before this and went home after the main course. the same happened with the received and the payment of the bill; we went to the bar to do that at the end when we waited so long. it is a shame, as the personal was very friendly and attentive to begin with it, but then somehow forget about us. We do not feel very appreciated at the end.

Always love our travel to the victoria. the staff is lovely, so helpful and knowledgeable. eat delicious and very obligated to my food allergies. I was surprised by the number of dogs in the hotel, I have never seen so many, never a problem as long as the owners keep their pets under control and on a short track.

Beautiful place and enjoyed it here in the past. when we arrived, the place was deadly calm, no music, no ambiente and as a result the sound of the waiting and kitchen staff was all that to hear table 18 away! . that was in order, but did not knock off our socks. the personal was very nice and polite, but not particularly attentive. a beautiful evening, probably a cat-over from Christmas.

There was a nice log fire that made the place w cozy. the staff was friendly and smiling. that was delicious. only a little expensive, but would go again!

Popped in for a bite to eat and a beer and was excellent. Staff were friendly and the surroundings were excellent.
