George's - Wellsboro

I’ve been to Wellsboro many times but have never stopped at this unassuming little diner on the edge of town. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I had a simple breakfast of a bacon, egg and cheese on an English muffin with hash browns, which you may think is impossible to screw up, but it has been done. The staff was incredibly warm and friendly and treated us like regulars. The entire menu is very reasonably priced with several items that put a Greek spin on some classic American dishes. They are apparently selling the restaurant but hopefully we will be back before they do.

This is our favorite little dinner in this town! My son and I both love the Greek salad. Get tzatziki with the pita bread. Service is always friendly.

Had a fantastic lunch at here. I had a gyro platter with a salad and fries. Make sure you are hungry! The fries were crispy which is how I prefer them. The pita on the gyro was excellent but I found the meat a touch dry. It is still what I am going to order when I go back! A friend had a rueban and enjoyed it. Other friends had the cheesecake and it looked especially good. Next time just a rueban and a slice of cheesecake for me. Server was excellent and really nice even though there was 9 of us on split checks. Food delivery was fast which is nice at lunch.

Great little family owned restaurant! Big portions at great prices. Fantastic food. Go and support local businesses. West of Wellsboro on Route 6! Go there! Go there now!!

Salad was really good and the staff was friendly. The interior could use some update, but the resturant is clean
