The restaurant prohibits seating more than one person at a table and serving meals for more than one person. It took two hours to serve a party of six on a Wednesday night, which felt like a long time. Customers should bring a water bottle as it is extremely hot inside, almost like the surface of the sun. The restroom also seemed outdated and could use a touch of color. The food was decent but took a while to arrive at the table, likely due to the heat in the restaurant. Overall, the experience would have been better if not for these issues.

We live within 2 miles of Baldock, Letchworth, and Hitchin, and Shapla White is without a doubt the best curry house in the area. We have been dining there for many years and the food and service are always top-notch. We cannot comment on the delivery service as we always pick up our orders. The menu offers a variety of vegan, vegetarian, and meat options, and they are willing to customize dishes when requested. The staff is consistently professional, polite, and friendly. Overall, it is a wonderful dining experience.

I placed a takeout order over the phone and was told it would be ready in 40-50 minutes on a Saturday night. However, it took an hour for the order to be ready for pickup, with no apology for the delay. When I got home, I found that most of the food was barely warm and one dish was missing. I tried to contact the restaurant but it took them 90 minutes to respond, with a dismissive attitude about being busy on a Saturday night. The service for takeout was terrible, with no apologies or offers to make things right. While the food itself was good, the poor service and lack of accountability make me hesitant to order from this restaurant again. There are plenty of other options with equally good food but better service.

Tried another place for a change for a birthday party. really nice eating and friendly service. the best curry we had for a long time.

Was staying at Letchworth Hall for one night and we asked Richard at reception for best Indian restaurant in the area. He recommended Shapla White and we were not disappointed. The meal was a very reasonable price. The curry and passanda were full of flavour...and not too hot just the way we like them. The starters and desserts were very good.
