Taqueria El Compallito - Weslaco

I used to love this place. I've been a regular at this taqueria since it first opened, but my most recent experience was disappointing. While the food is not bad, the service was terrible. My Spanish is not perfect, so I called in English to place a to-go order. The person I spoke to initially spoke English, but then switched to Spanish abruptly and rudely questioned my ability to speak Spanish. This made me feel uncomfortable and upset. As a food service worker myself, I always try my best to accommodate customers, even if they do not speak English. It's a shame because I used to enjoy dining at this restaurant.

The food is amazing and the service is fast. I visited during the lunch rush and my meal was prepared in just 15 minutes. The staff is attentive and always eager to assist. Don't miss out on the delicious agua de melon.

This taqueria is without a doubt the best in the valley. I always order the mixta combo and am consistently blown away by how delicious it is and how generous the portions of meat are. The service is also excellent and they make you feel right at home. I highly recommend this place if you're in search of delicious food at a great value.

Was very good. Servers were very attentive and food was really good. They really need to do more advertising for the place though because I never heard of this place and hardly drive through the road they're currently located. I'll recommend thisplace to people I know though. I only found out about this place because my aunt invited me to come eat with her.

Love this place! Servers are pleasant and the service was quick. We were served a small dish of charro beans as soon as we were seated and they are absolutely delicious! We ordered a six taco plate (chose chicken and beef) and ponchos with bistek. Bothwere so good that it may be hard to try something else the next time we go back! Will go back over and over!
