Dempsey's Steakhouse At Saddlebrook Resort

Interesting dinner. First, the inside bar which I believe may be the sports bar was not pleasant. Teenaged kids in bathing suits bellying up to the bar to get drinks, etc was unacceptable in terms of noise and ambiance. The quiet in the dining room was great as was the very nice service. But, the place needs updating to match the beautiful grounds. It is decidedly stuck in the The menu was sufficiently broad but also somewhat dated. Food was served hot and quickly but every item was very oversalted to all three of us at the table. My Steak Diane was over salted to just before the point of inedible. Which is too bad because the cut of meat seemed to be very good. In the health conscious age, this is unacceptable. Even the mashed potatoes were heavily salted

My husband and I have wanted to try Dempsey’s for a while and went with another couple. We enjoy a good big end steak but the whole experience was disappointing considering the price point of the dishes. It was on the side of a sports bar, the service was very delayed and not very attentive, the food was mediocre and the steak had very little flavor. The Cesar salad was the best part of the meal. Won’t be back, there are plenty of outer steakhouses with similar price points that are truly incredible. Skip Dempsey’s and head south

Time at Dempsey’s. Service was exceptional, food was superb drinks were made perfectly to order every time! Would definitely go back for a special occasion. Have no idea why there were any reviews below stars
