So I returned to the store to speak with the manager and request a refund, explaining my feelings about the incident. The manager informed me that store policy does not allow for refunds. She acknowledged that the employee knew her behavior was rude but still chose to ignore it. All I received was a generic "I’m sorry," not even from the original cashier. This experience really upset me. If the staff recognized the inappropriate behavior, it’s disheartening that they allowed it to happen. As an African American woman, I couldn't help but feel invisible in that moment, as if I didn’t matter. If you see something wrong, it’s important to speak up rather than letting it slide. I will not be returning to this location again.
I went into the store today to pick up a cake and it was their closing time I guess. These girls who work here are rude. They gave me very mean looks and stares. Please train your employees. They should not be working at a cake shop if they can't deliver excellent customer service. Will not be returning
Stopped by at Wesley Chapel branch to buy cake for my son's bday...Got home with the cake damaged...I didn't check the cake before I left...My family is so disappointed because we always get our cake from NBC...
The employee who contracted COVID reported it to management on a Thursday but was still asked to come in the next day—showing a complete disregard for the safety of customers who purchase their cakes. The manager even insisted on a doctor's note, expressing disbelief that “COVID isn’t even a thing anymore” and grumbling that “this doesn’t need to happen again.” With the baker in Carrollwood leaving, the Wesley Chapel baker was left to handle all the cake orders for both locations without any assistance, and was expected to complete everything by the end of the day. Management was reluctant to help and, when they finally did, one manager complained, “I need to go get a drink; I can’t do this whole baking thing,” after only a short while of working. So, be cautious about where you’re getting your cakes from, as you could end up with more than just a sweet treat if the employees are overworked and stressed.
