Barnacles Food Bar - West Banks

What a little gem, tucked away in the port area. The freshest fish and chips I've probably ever eaten, so reasonably priced . It's busy with all the locals in the know, but so worth the effort of finding it.

Stumbled upon by accident. Great fish & chips. Will come back before leaving for home. Thanks for a damn nice meal.

Hubby and I love our fish and chips, but were disappointed this time. The four portions you get in the full serve, were only small, not thick and juicy like our last visit, and the whole meal was VERY salty. Price was a little rich too.

This is one of my favourite places to take my overseas or Perth visitors for a good meal of fish and chips. A full serve will be too much for the ladies so they do offer a half serve. In the full serve I doubt most will be able to finish the huge amount of chips.the have other fast food and a variety of drinks.

As we have never been , and in the area,we tried Barnacles Food Bar. Service was great, premises clean an tidy so sat down to await our fish an chips. Very popular place with the workers by the thru put of clients getting their lunch. Our fish was N.Z. Grenadier ?. The whole meal was piping hot , fresh and melt in your mouth fish. We sat on the front verandah an took in the view , from seagulls, boats and out to the rangers that back drop Geraldton. We will be regulars from here on in.
