The prawn gyoza and Laksa were fresh and delicious, but lacked the depth of flavor compared to those I've had in Malaysia and London. It's not a particularly intimate or destination-worthy spot, but if you're in the area and looking for a change, it's worth a try.
While it may not be a luxurious restaurant or cafe, I can assure you that the food here is fantastic and budget-friendly. If you're craving authentic noodle soup, this is the place to go.
The prawns gyoza and tossed noodles at this restaurant are the most delicious we've had. We order takeout from here almost every week now, and it's always consistently good. Today, when we tried to order something that was not available, the owners gave us some incredibly tasty dim sum that they had made for themselves during lunch. It was the best dim sum we have ever tried!
Wow! Absolutely delicious! We popped in for the first time for a takeaway and are kicking ourselves that we have not tried TIY sooner. The noodle soups are delicious fully of vegetable, meats seafood and egg. Portions are huge. We started with the prawn dumplings which came with a very tasty dipping sauce. I had the Malaysian laksa and my wife the tai Tom yum. Both were superb. Will certainly be a very regular customer in future!
On a cols drizzly day you can't beat one of Tiy Tea's soups the laksa is my favorite choice hot, spicy and full of wonderful ingredients every spoonful is a treat!
