The Social - West Chester

They have come here for years and love the new location! The food and drinks are always amazing? Blackberry Bramble is my favorite cocktail, and every dish I tried was honest. One more of my favorite restaurants in the toilet.

Usually the food and service is wonderful here. However went last week and service was TERRIBLE. First of all, it took some time to be greeted (at least 10 minutes and the dinner rush was over). Then the server took our drink order and our bar drinks took AT LEAST 15 minutes. I would have expected the server to come take our order or at least tell us there is a hold up at the bar. No he did neither of those things. We were now seated for close to a half hour with no drinks and our order hadn?t been taken. We placed an order for two apps, wings and nachos, and gave our dinner order to the server. We asked for pico on the side for the nachos as I cannot eat tomatoes because of a digestive disease that I have. Our appetizers came out with pico ALL over them and barely any cheese. We did not have any silverware or napkins and had to physically get up to search the restaurant to find some because our server never came to see how the food was. Then our entrees came out less than 5 minutes after our apps.Apps we didn?t even get a chance to try and eat because we had no utensils or napkins. Our server again, never came to check on us. We were at a small 4 person table. All of the appetizer main plates, side plates, and now entree plates were all still on the table. We had kept stacking plates on the bar next to us, thinking someone would get the hint, but no, they did not. Lastly, the server finally made an appearance, no longer in uniform, but with a sweatshirt on and his hood up to drop off the check and saying ?here ya go.? Walking away from the table, not offering boxes or clearing any of the plates that were still all there from the beginning. We again had to go search a server station for boxes for ourselves. Even after picking up our payment and returning with payment, he still never once cleared a single plate. The only saving Grace from this experience was that dinner was delicious, but I didn?t realize I?d be spending over a $100 to basically serve myself

This place is always amazing. Great food. Great vibe. Great drinks. Locally owned by good people. Splitting a few appetizers over cocktails with friends is pure magic.

After visiting New Orleans last year, I?ve been craving their cuisine. I decided to stop into The Social and try their cajun food for lunch. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich and the specialty burgers BBQ bacon. The sandwiches were absolutely delicious and cooked well! The side of chips were so flavorful. We also ordered the NOLA fries, but our waiter forgot to put the order in. After a short wait, we absolutely loved it! I highly recommend the fries! Despite the hiccup, I can not wait to visit again and try some of their other items.

Great spot to grab a bite or drink. Happy hour on Thursday and Friday for $4 pints and wine. Plenty of room at the bar and they offer both inside and outside seating. Friendly staff.
