This is a family run restaurant and it is good eating. Only As from DEHC, which means this restaurant is clean. Super friendly owner, who grows his vegetables in a greenhouse and the pecans for the pecan pie comes off a tree he owns. Only accepted cash today, $12 a plate. Only opens Saturday and Sunday 11-3. This is a hidden secret off the main road.p

We were really pleased with how the owner's son greeted us and assisted us to our table in the back. The food was the closest I've had to my grandmother's cooking since she passed away. The atmosphere felt like a warm embrace.

I visited for the Sunday buffet and it exceeded my expectations. The food was delightful, the staff was extremely friendly, and the chef made an effort to check in with guests to ensure they were enjoying their meals. I will definitely return! My favorites were the black-eyed peas, creamed corn, and the various meats. The banana pudding was also delicious.

The vegetables are exceptional, sourced directly from the owner's garden. The boneless pork chops are absolutely incredible, and the boneless chicken is equally delicious. The pecan pie, made from his own pecan trees, is simply delightful. This is the best southern cooking buffet I've ever experienced!

Recently, my grandmother invited me to The Secret Garden for Sunday dinner. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did! The food is fantastic, offering a wide range of options from fried chicken and meatloaf to cubed steak, along with tasty sides like rutabagas, mac 'n cheese, collard greens, and stewed squash. As for dessert, the peach cobbler is simply amazing! Mr. Poole, the owner, is a wonderfully kind man who makes you feel like the most important customer in his restaurant. Please support this establishment; he truly deserves it!
