This place is a combination grocery store and restaurant. The food is great, though. We have been here several times and have not been disappointed. Don't expect fancy, just great service.
They have a large menu to choose from.I tried the Huevos Rancheros. And ordered a menudo. Honestly, the menudo had no flavor. My Grandson took one bite and was done. The huevos rancheros was a disappointment as well. No sauce on top of the eggs. There was only diced tomatoes. Also the beans rice were cold!!
The food is good but the service is really poor I ask a lady for lemons and she just told me to ask in the front and they had me waiting for 10 min just for lemos bad service...
El Pilon stands as a unique blend of restaurant and grocery, offering a slice of Mexico through its authentic grocery items and delectable cuisine. As someone who frequently succumbs to cravings for genuine Mexican flavors, I’ve found myself returning to El Pilon time and again. The establishment’s approachable pricing and vast selection of marinated meats, sauces, and other essentials make it a go-to for anyone looking to infuse their cooking with true Mexican zest. The convenience of parking adds to El Pilon’s allure, ensuring that visits are hassle-free from the start. For those looking to enjoy El Pilon’s culinary offerings, such as the savory carne asada fries, hearty burritos, or traditional enchiladas, the recommendation to call ahead for pickup is a valuable tip. This practice streamlines the experience, allowing for a quick in-and-out visit that doesn’t skimp on flavor.Service at El Pilon is straightforward and self-service, aligning with the quick-serve model. Orders are placed at the register, and although there’s no table service, the presence of dining tables offers the flexibility to enjoy your meal on-site. The self-serve sauce bar is a highlight, providing an array of options to customize your meal to your liking.
