The seafood nachos were fabulous; I only ordered the half order and, as you can see, it is plenty large. The sauce on the nachos is more of an Alfredo sauce than a queso. It blends perfectly with the bay scallops and shrimp to make a wonderful nacho platter. The bruschetta tomatoes on top add a nice flavor, and the chips are clearly homemade. Next time I would prefer to ask for more bruschetta tomatoes, but that is just my personal preference. The chips remind me of thin wonton wrappers fried, and they’re exceptional. My niece ordered chicken Parmesan entrée, but she was served their chicken Parmesan sandwich. No big deal, except the entrée comes with a side of ziti pasta. She was going between the ziti lasagna and the chicken Parmesan, settling on the chicken Parmesan because of the side of ziti pasta; best of both worlds. She was a little disappointed when it didn’t come that way but no big deal. The size of the sandwich is monstrous, she could barely eat 1/4 of the sandwich. Red sauce had great flavor, cheese was melted on top and it was clearly hand battered. Next time she will definitely be getting the entrée. She also loved the piping hot french fries that came with her sandwich. What really stood out to me is as we were boxing up our leftovers, the chef (I presume Dino? came out from the kitchen with a to go ziti pasta, apologizing for the mistake. That to me is exceptional quality customer service. My 6 ounce steak deburgo was cooked perfectly rare. The garlic butter sauce on top was a little salty, even for me the salt lover, but I would still order this again. I was not offered a steak knife and was wondering but the filet was so tender it cut with my butter knife, so no complaints about that! Plenty left over for another meal...or meals! The asparagus was grilled to perfection and nothing on our plates needed any salt or pepper. I didn’t even ask for hot sauce...even after eyeing the bottle of **** sauce behind the bar. This is quite the hidden little gem (said it already but reiterating in a very unsuspecting strip mall off the corner of 60th St. and Ashworth in West Des Moines, by the old bike world location. Ambience is very cozy, set up is very simple and clean. I will definitely be back for some more seafood nachos and I would like to try some of the other items on the menu; most notably the risotto, ribeye, chicken Alfredo and mahi-mahi specials. — at Dino's Bar and Grill.
Dino's was a wonderful surprise. We ordered a half order of seafood nachos which was a wonderful way to start the meal. The eggplant parmesan was the best I've ever had. It had thick, meaty pieces of eggplant with just the right amount of cheese, tomato sauce, and pasta. Too often with eggplant parmesan, it is difficult to find the eggplant, but this was perfect. Service was fast and friendly. We will definitely be back. It is so nice to have such a gem in our neighborhood.
Great food and amazing service! Top notch food, drinks and atmosphere! They have the best wings and seafood nachos. I would recommend Dino’s for lunch, dinner or a night out for cocktails.
My boyfriend and I always end up here the first Friday of the month for their prime rib special. Everything is delicious and it’s great spot for a nice date. Jeramy is the owner and chef of Dino’s and I would recommend his food to everyone!
After some time talking about it but not selecting this spot my wife and I went in tonight and it was amazing. As a cheese curd conesueir I have to say best in town no question. Second the deburgo was outstanding. Pair this with a nice atmosphere, amazing service and fun interaction/conversation with the owner/ chef. This should be on any foodies list. We look forward to return trips as we simply couldn't sample everything tonight ; keep up the good work!
