Prime West Des Moines

Since they have just opened, I am willing to give him a second chance, but will wait until the dinge have settled. our server was not able to keep with what was going on. we waited at least 10 minutes, just to get water. she didn't know what the menu is. eating was at best mediocre. salat dressing should be creamy parmesan, but tasted like simple mayonnaise. Salad green were limp. chicken sandwich was overcooked and dry. French pommes were lukewarm. the requests for other objects were unanswered.

Filet and aged ribeye cooked perfectly medium rare. championsoße on ribeye was a great addition. has Oscar-style filet!

Prime has closed before a dae. it's hard to do it at this place.

Short version: some hiccups, but probably because they are relatiw new and still their foot. worth a second visit. longer version: this is a newer steak house in west of the moines. menu is quite standard steakhouse evening, solid but nothing particularly inventive. the appetizer of the deviled egg selection was delicious and interesting, but salate were forgotten. steaks were well cooked and properly cooked, but the sides of the green beans and pommes were boring. there were other pages on the menu on a la carte basis, but our server did not ask if we wanted to replace one of them. service was a mixed bag. we had a reservation. when we arrived, there was no host. a waiter told us to wait, then a few minutes later brought us to a table. we had to take a drink menu from a memorable. it took almost ten minutes until our waitress welcomed us. after that there were long delays in getting our cocktails, apps and entrees. our waitress was very friendly and cheerful, only wished that she was more attentive and moved the things with a typical tempo. the dinner lasted two hours when we expected it to be an hour or so, although it was not a first-class experience, it was still a good evening meal. we will come back to give them a second look.

Perfect evening from the moment we arrived. Service was attentive and not intrusive. The filet was one of the best we've had in Des Moines and the truffle butter was the perfect accompaniment. The attention to the quality of the food was apparent.
