The Original Pasty House - West Devon

Can't go wrong if you're searching for simple dishes. I prefer delivery but there's space to eat within.

Everyone who works there is massively underpaid by the owner. But the food and stuff is good

My wife and myself are currently holidaying in North Devon (based at the excellent Imperial Hotel in Barnstaple Review to follow) and yesterday we paid a visit to Tavistock. After looking around various local eateries, we opted for the Original Padty House where we much enjoyed one of their Large Steak Pasties and a generous cup of tea. Oth accompanied by excellent service. As such, more than happy to recommend the Original Pasty House to other visitors to Tavistock.

£6.15 for ‘giant steak’ with 4-5 pieces of meat. I was actually shocked at the price. The pasty wasn’t the best. Far better pasties elsewhere in tavistock.

Stppoed here for a pasty as I passed through Tavistock on my bike and needed replenishment. Locked my bike outside and was served instantly by a friendly staff member. Good value pasty and very tasty ;
