The sandwiches were fresh and delicious, packed with generous fillings on the nicest bread. We visited on a Wednesday, which happened to be market day, and enjoyed live folk music while we ate. The selection of cakes was tempting, ranging from Victoria sponge to a moist apple cake. My companion chose the coffee walnut cake, which was also delicious. The owner/waitress was attentive to her regular customers and even took care of a customer's dog outside. Overall, the service was excellent, the food was great, and the prices were reasonable. A must-visit for hungry travelers.
The staff is friendly, the cake is delicious, and it's great value for money! I highly recommend the coffee cake for only £2.50. This cozy cafe is located near the Tourist Information Centre. While it primarily focuses on take away options like teas, coffees, and cakes, there are also two tables with chairs outside where you can enjoy your treats while taking in a great view of the square. This place is definitely worth discovering!
