K. Yuen - West Dorset

While on vacation, we have ordered from this takeaway three times in the past few weeks. I must say, the food is fantastic, reasonably priced, and prepared quickly. I especially enjoyed the chicken curry and egg fried rice. I appreciate being able to watch the food being cooked in the kitchen area. Keep up the great work!

I recently had a disappointing experience at K Yuen and felt compelled to leave a negative review. I ordered two portions of Crispy Chilli Beef and a Salt Chilli Ribs on Tuesday. The crispy chilli beef was soggy and stuck together, while the ribs were overcooked and full of cartilage with hardly any meat. I contacted the restaurant and the owner was apologetic, offering us a refund or a replacement dish. We opted for a refund of £18.80, but when my partner went to collect it, they were only given £12.60. When I called to address the discrepancy, the owner claimed the ticket only showed one order of crispy chilli beef, despite my explanation. Unfortunately, the food was also bland and lacked flavor. Despite the owner's politeness, I cannot recommend K Yuen and will not be returning.

I placed my order based on prices from last year's take-out menu. It was £14.90 before, but this year it was £20.20 and they only accepted cash. When I went to pick up my order, they didn't have the new menu available to compare prices. The food was average and the service was unfriendly. I won't be returning again.

I love the food from here. I like that you can see into the kitchen and watch them cook. I prefer the Wet Chow Meins over the dry; more flavourful. But above all... grab a pancake roll or two they're stuffed full of yumminess!

2 take aways from this place whilst on holiday in west bay. Food was amazing! Over the holiday we had chicken fried rice, egg fried rice, chicken omelettes, sweet n sour chicken and the best spring roll we’ve Had in our lives! 2 visits, everything perfect so 5 stars from me
