Daiko Japanese - West Haven

My favourite thing about this place is the decorations and atmosphere. Upon entering it’s filled with dangling origami and the ambiance is just so cozy and welcoming. On top of all of this, they serve such amazing sushi and service. Every item we ordered was fresh and delicately made. Even after we ran into a small issue with one of our rolls, the waitress and cooks quickly attended to us and remade the roll with no issue. Highly recommend for one of the best sushi’s in town

Such a great welcoming, quaint place with delicious food. The sushi bar is legendary; the kitchen entrees too. Astonishing to watch your meal being created. Literally artwork.

If there were more stars, I'd gladly give them. I've been going to Jerry's for over 20 years. I've cruelly held every sushi restaurant I've been to since, to that high standard....Nobody ever came close. It's never been a second thought. If sushi was the meal of choice, it was going to come from Rt34 in West Haven, not even another name was mentioned. I was alive to experience the best ever. It's akin to being alive during the daily use of electricity.....YES...It's that important! Now, I have the sick feeling of watching the end of this era, and I want to cry. I've been sober 30 years, and I realize I've never had a sake bomb with Jerry......and I never will, because I'm staying sober, and Jerry......he's retiring. Godspeed My friend... Billy Skrainski

It always seems as though everyone in this place is having so much fun, especially guests at the bar. There is definitely good mood in the air. Service is friendly, the owner and chef is always there entertaining. If I had to rate the sushi separately it would probably be a 3.5 out of 5 in regards to creativity, size, flavor and ratio of filling to rice; but the experience overall is great so will keep coming back
