The food here is outstanding, though it is somewhat expensive. The lounge area is fantastic, and the interior is tastefully designed. The dishes are genuinely delicious! It's a stylish place, ideal for having a drink and unwinding. It can be a little difficult to see when driving by—I can't quite understand it, but I always seem to overlook the sign the first time!
The dessert menu has changed since my visit, but the Tahitian Vanilla Cheesecake paired with blackberry-lemoncello sorbet and lemon verbena sauce sounds divine. The bar lived up to the high expectations set by the kitchen. We started the evening with what might be the best summer drink ever: mojitos. This was my first experience with a mojito, and it may have spoiled me forever. We chose the mango mojito made with mango rum. In my opinion, the best mojitos are those where the alcohol is barely noticeable, allowing you to enjoy the fresh mint and freshly squeezed lime, both of which were prominent in our drink. One suggestion I have is to use pureed mango, similar to what they do at the Lotus bar in D.C. (which makes excellent mojitos, but you can definitely taste the alcohol), instead of flavored rum. Overall, it was a luxurious, trendy dining experience with upscale cuisine. We spent just over $40 in total, but it was certainly worth it for a night out.
