The hostess then asked why I didn't choose one of the high-top tables for two or four, and I explained that I preferred comfortable seating. After my wife and I were seated, I observed the same hostess seating multiple parties of various sizes in the dining area, without directing anyone else to the pub. I questioned whether those guests had reservations and if the dining area was truly full. When I asked our waitress about it, she seemed confused as to why we were not allowed to sit in the dining area and promised to have a manager come talk to us. By the time we finished our meals, the manager still hadn't come over, so we asked our very attentive waitress about it, and eventually, the manager did visit our table. While he listened to our concerns, he offered several excuses that, having worked in the restaurant industry myself, I found unconvincing. I’m left wondering what prompted the hostess’s behavior. I am older, and my younger wife is Black—could the hostess have had an issue with our age difference, or was it racially motivated? Given this experience, we are unlikely to return to The 99 Restaurant chain anytime soon.

I can't fault the staff; they were incredibly friendly and helpful. However, during this visit to the USA, I've noticed a significant drop in the quality of the food, which is quite disappointing, especially because I've had amazing meals at this restaurant in the past. The fries were cold and, for the first time ever, came as a very small portion. My mother-in-law ordered the fish and chips, but the fish was rubbery, leading us to suspect it was dry cod that had been either rehydrated or overcooked. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this chain of restaurants.

The service was exceptional! Yes, you read that correctly—perfect! I want to extend my gratitude to the staff, who were friendly and accommodating. The food was served hot and cooked to perfection. The steak tips were delicious, and the chicken wings were fantastic! Thank you for everything!

A great place to bring the family for dinner. The wait staff was extremely friendly and prompt, Tristan was extremely helpful and very personable. Our food was delicious. Steak tips, soup, salad, Mac and cheese. We couldnt have asked for a better meal after a long day of exploring the region. Thank you again!

Our waitress was fantastic (we sat in the bar area). She was kind, attentive, and funny. The food was perfect for our needs. My daughter ordered a side of rice with her food, and fries came out instead. It wasn't a big deal, we weren't going to say anything, and she was just going to go with it, but the manager realized and profusely apologized and brought her rice on the side.
