Touchdown Willy' Tap and Grill

Decided to check out Touchdown Willy's as it's a stop on the way home during the work week. Walked in and the place is riddled with TV screens. First impression was wow, this is a nice little sports bar. Upon walking up to the bar, the place expands nicely to the right. So much for thinking this was little!. There are quite a few tables and about 5 or 6 booths to sit and eat at. Tried the Chicken Wing's which were awesome and had a pint of Bud Lite which was very cold. In talking with the locals, new owner's have taken over and the wait times for food or beverages have improved 100%. If your ever in the area, you really must stop in and check the place out!

We have gone to Willys a few times with our neighbours, our waitress remembered us the second time there. She is great, beer is cold, TVs on different stations, food is hot.

We've tried this restaurant on numerous occasions. I like the atmosphere and the food is a reasonable value. At times, however, the service is dreadfully slow but not always. "You never know what you're going to get", to quote Forrest Gump, when commenting on the service. If you have time sensitive plans, this place is a pass. If you have all the time in the world, it's worth a visit.

Since Touchdown Willy's is convenient to our home, we frequented it regularly. However, the last few times, we have experienced very slow service. When taking children, waiting 45 minutes for a burger is not acceptable. Even when told, we were in a hurry, nothing changed. Because of time restraints, our daughter had to take her food in a container or be late for work after waiting nearly an hour. Unless we are assured that the culture has changed, we will likely not return.

Great attention from bar staff when visiting from Scotland, would recommend to any traveller passing through Smithville. Recommend the Alexander Kieth IPA, a nice brew. Although we didn't eat there the food on served appeared to be of good quality. Overall a nice pub
