Sainsburys - West Lothian

The cafe is now 'permanently closed ' as part of Sainsbury 's disastrous cost cutting measure. It may be that Livingston will be one of the supermarkets to get one of the promised replacements (it 's a big Sainsbury 's) but as of April/May 2022, there is no café.

After shopping today my mum and I thought we would have a light lunch in the cafe. I was extremely dissapointed as all they had that was gluten free was fruit or GF cake bars. Sainsburys sell GF bread and rolls in store so why can't they have them in the cafe ?The waitress offered me vegetarian which obviously she didn't realise wasn't GF. My mum and I used to always go there and I would get a baked potato, but they don't do that now. Very dissapointed. Sainsburys cater for Vegetarian and Vegan but not GF. Sainsburys always had a good cafe with hot food but I don't think we will be back until that resumes or until the staff know the difference of vegetarian and GF

Restaurant as now became a café, Pick your own food off the shelves pay for them to cook them if required, Cup of tea £2,50 ? Toasties, cakes etc. Café is clean as normal and staff are still as helpful but the soul seems to be ripped out to what was a busy place years ago.

Ive been in cafe afew times there food is good staff friendly is agood stop point for aquick lunch breakfast or just coffee

Breakfast was cold poor service waited ages. Not very friendly nor helpful. I wouldn’t waste my money going again
