Excellent place, very atmospheric. I went from Bay Area to get a birthday cake from there and their German chocolate cake was one of the best I ever tried! Will definitely order all my cakes from here now. Strongly recommended!

Nice place!!! They have updated this place and it looks very bright. The atmosphere was very comfortable. Background music was low and very enjoyable. Had a very nice meeting and we overstayed until last minute, it was great!

I went to village bakery due to receiving a gift card. I went to use the gift card and the lady told me that my gift card won 't work because they have new gift cards. I showed her the receipt of when it was bought, so the lady went to the kitchen, and another lady came out with the original lady. They both started to speak in Spanish and I asked if I would be able to use the gift card at all and the lady continued to speak in Spanish and kept saying Carlos . I asked if I could speak to the manager and she rudely told me that they don 't have one, so I asked for the owner 's information and the original cashier said she didn 't know who the owner was. I asked who Carlos was and she continued to ignore my question and told me that she won 't be using my giftcard, took my receipt for the gift card . I ended up leaving and tried calling for the past two weeks with no reply back. Definitely frustrating.

I bought a white champagne cake, just to find the inside was made of pieces (chunks). I do not appreciate it!
