The pies at this restaurant were delicious. I enjoyed one steak and ale pie and one vegan chickpea and ale pie. I was relieved to see that the vegan pie was clearly marked with a half moon on top, so I knew to avoid it.

Terrible service from a rude elderly man. He was abrupt and unhelpful. It would be beneficial for him to undergo customer service training before interacting with customers. I doubt he will have much repeat business. The food was mediocre at best and extremely overpriced. I suggest dining elsewhere for a better experience. Overall, very disappointing.

The person behind the counter was incredibly rude to start off with! I wasn't expecting a hug, but a simple hello or how can I help would have been nice. I ordered the Steak, Old Hooky, and Mushroom pie for £8.50, but to be honest, I found more steak in a cheese sandwich! It was absolutely terrible. I will not be returning, that's for sure!

I had a pumpkin spiced pie, hubby had a lamb pie. Both were yummy and perfect to eat as we walked. Hubby said it was the best pie he had ever eaten!

Here is the place to go for a pie of champion proportions. Steak and Old Hooky Ale gets my vote, hands down. Perfect with Cheesy mash and buttered greens or with chips, peas and gravy. Perfect!
