We can highly recommend the full set breakfast, will definitely visit again if we are close.
Visit them whenever in the opposite, really well run shop and all staff are amazing, especially val (soft place for them). best coffee in the cotswolds and would recommend a visit.
My friend and I came to the breakfast. we had not booked before, but it was not busy, and we were shown to a great table by an initially friendly lady. we ordered a pot tee while we thought what we wanted...complicatedly by both of us with allergies. when we got the tee, we asked to think a few minutes to make it clear that we still wanted to order food. the girl who brought the tee was very friendly and pleasant and we felt welcome. the tee was perfect and came in beautiful porcelain, but nothing special, just an average pot tee. we discussed eating and my friend decided what she wanted. there were no gluten-free options so I planned to order a coffee and skip food. at this point we have made the mistake of influencing each other moderately. don't get me wrong, we didn't kiss, but there were some. poor touch! and we might also have kept hands short. I know shocking, maybe they wonder why I mentioned this. now, quite simply because this is the only thing I think might have caused the sudden change in the attitude with the staff, especially the manager. we spent the next 30 minutes to get their attention to order and to be consciously ignored. Even if we caught her eye, they saw us through. we could not order anything else, although we had starved and thirst at this point, had fled from tee. that would not have been so bad except that the manager still gave us dirty look. at one point she greeted in a family that had not booked and said it was good for her to come and just have coffee. in the next minute they complained loudly about us to take a table and have only tee. at this point we decided to go. to be honest, that the cake and eating of other people did not look very good and did not wait or the high prices were worth. but it was discouraging to be treated as schoddily when we had spent our hard earned rainbow pound there if they had only been decent. the older lady glistened with us when we were gone, although the younger server was apologised when my friend had pointed out that we had to wait so long. I guess if they did not commit the great crime to be Indian lesbians, they might have a mediocre time there, but they are disorganized and also leave their friends, one of whom was a worker in dirty kit, in the kitchen, so I ask their standards.
We visited the Tea Set while on a break in the Cotswolds. We ended up going quite close to their closing time but still managed to get some tea and cakes. The tea comes in lovely cups and saucers that are quite beautiful. The lemon...and blueberry cake was absolutely delicious and not very heavy either. The mince pies were also very tasty. The friendly attitude of the staff added to the ambiance and made it a very lovely visit.
