When I went back inside to talk to the manager, Lisa felt the need to come around from behind the bar and yell in my face while the manager, Jason, stood by, along with the sheriff officer/security who was on duty. I only got Lisa's name from the receipt I kept; she seemed confident that her manager would cover for her. Speaking of which, when I asked Jason for the corporate number, he provided a local number starting with 561, which probably isn't the actual corporate line. I later looked up the customer service number myself and plan to call in the morning. Honestly, we weren't that upset initially, but Lisa's decision to confront me aggressively was the tipping point. What surprised me even more was that the sheriff officer didn't intervene while she was yelling. However, when I finally called her a derogatory name once in my frustration, he stepped in. It seemed odd that he didn't act when she was screaming and pointing in my face. Given the current political and socioeconomic climate, Applebee’s needs to ensure their staff is properly trained to handle customer situations. Lisa appeared to believe there would be no consequences for her behavior tonight, which reflects poorly on the entire Applebee’s establishment. If you are African American, I would strongly recommend choosing a different location, as you may face being overcharged and accused of stealing, as Lisa suggested all Black people do. Additionally, she did not check IDs at the bar and was serving drinks freely, raising questions about how Applebee’s feels about their bartenders distributing alcohol without proper checks. I hope they have cameras, as I will be requesting footage of the incident as well.

I had a terrible experience at the restaurant, largely due to the server, Lisa. She was incredibly rude and made me feel very uncomfortable. She wrongfully accused me of stealing another customer’s credit card from the counter and even sent him to bang on the trunk of my car. The manager, instead of addressing the situation, took the server's side, which only made matters worse. Overall, I was very disappointed with the service and the food. Rating: 1 out of 5.
