The entrance is not very intuitive for Barnflix because the regular males run in the front but when you came for a movie, you need to go outside and go back to a special gate, so they can check the ID and you were in the same area in which you were told to go. The bars have a beautiful furnishings with benches, chairs, tables, umbrellas and fireplaces. There were dogs everywhere, so there is clear dog friendly. The field where Barnflicks is held was so close to the regular Hangout area not too far from food or drinks. The field was good. You have pizza and salad in the bar and burgers and dead in the food truck right behind the bar. The food was made quite fast and they wrote us when the food was ready to pick up. The food and drinks must be ordered on a mobile phone and paid with a card. I heard someone complained not to be able to pay for alcohol with cash. I'm not sure that money sales are allowed in the outer bar, but they have a tip to what you would assume means that they expect people to have money in their hands. We had both salads, they tasted like sadness, but that was because we didn't make the food truck good only after ordering food.
This place is perfect for a night trip! Whether you have dogs, children or just want a fun night with friends, this place has everything. The food and drinks are amazing, especially the Elots! If it gets cold in the evening, you can rent a fireplace and stay cozy. I look forward to future visits here!
Very cool open-air beer garden and restaurant that is like the perfect choice for a date, a large group, a small group or something in between. You have many tables to choose from, of which essentially all are outdoors, plus some fire pits you can rent and grassy areas where you can move. It is primarily a brewery, so there are tons of delicious beer options. There are also cocktails. The menu strongly leans on pizzas and burgers, so it is not super extensive, but the pizzas are large, inexpensive and tasty (we did not try the burgers). You order a QR code on your table. You must make a reservation for weekends. Remember that everything is outdoors so that this place really seems when the weather is beautiful, but it will not be a great choice when it is hot or rainy. Very recommended and one of the best slopeouts of Sacramento!
For those of you who enjoy a strict outdoor experience, this is one of the best outdoor breweries I have ever done. This leads me to a trip on the other side of the Sacramento River, where I finally had the opportunity to try Drakes: The Barn. Conveniently located on the river bank of St. within 1/2 mile to the Sutter Health Park (former Raley Field) in West Sacramento, Drakes: Since its opening in 2016, the bars serve thousands of customers. I came here with one of my friends in the afternoon of Sunday 7/18/2021 at about 1:40. Since there was a relatively warm summer day, there were not many people. As many people have already said, this place can be your best friend or your worst enemy depending on the weather. My recommendation is to come during spring and autumn months as well as summer evenings, as the heat of Sacramento can be overwhelming for many. There is a fairly small parking lot, but I saw that many people arrive by bike or scooter as there is a paved way that runs in this place. Before entering you will see what resembles a large wooden structure that they call their barn. It serves as a limited shadow area to block the sun, but the majority of the outer tables are openly spread out. The outdoor area, however, includes several picnic tables with parasols and especially sisters who spray cool water on these unfortunately hot summer days. The ordering process is fast, simple and efficient. You can order your drinks and/or food from the table (each table has its own unique QR code you can scan with your phone) or you can go to the bar area. Your beverage selection is quite extensive with several craft beers that are on design or bottle. In addition, they have a nice selection of cocktails, spirits and hard apple wines. They also include a decent selection of dishes that offers amazing comfort food, including frits, wings, Mac cheese, pizza, salad and desserts. I kept my first visit simple by ordering a pint of ice-cold yeast wheat (price of $8). Service here was top notch, as each individual employee really enjoyed what they did. I definitely want to make many future visits, especially when there is live music and see the amazing lights in the night with some of the Sacramento Skyline from the distance. With a great atmosphere and mood combined with stellar service and delicious beer I give Drakes: The bars are a perfect five-star rating.
Came here for the Best of Sacramento event and it was an awesome experience. This place is a much better venue than the convention center. The Drake was big enough for a stage and plenty of room for vendors and food trucks. Plus it was great that everything was outdoors. The only thing that sucked was the bathroom did not have ac so when it's 100 degrees outside, you're sweating in there!
