Sushi Gallery - West Vancouver

We've been eating at this little neighbourhood sushi joint for a long time because the food has been reasonably cheap and decent. The service though has been going downhill for a while and has finally hit rock bottom. Customer satisfaction is definitely a low priority. Last night we didn't get what we ordered. When we complained we were asked if we wanted to also purchase what we had originally ordered on top of what we were given. This all after talking with two different staff to sort it out. We should have walked out but it was late, we were hungry and so we ate. When our son went to pay the bill, including a small tip, he was very upfront about our dissatisfaction and was offered no apology at all. We won't go back and will stop recommending this restaurant to our guests, neighbours and friends.

We are from Ottawa and were so excited for BC sushi! This place really gave us our fill for an unbelievably inexpensive price. We shared one order of combo rolls and 2 orders of sashimi. Each piece of sashimi was at least an ounce! All very fresh and delicious, but we could even finish it! When the bill came, we thought they'd made a mistake because it was so low! Lovely little hole in the wall and incredible value!

Surprisingly inexpensive sushi with decent quality.

I came across this restaurant review on the front page of Yelp on December 22nd and decided to bookmark it for future reference. I visited the restaurant before the end of the year.

Sushi Gal is fantastic! It is definitely one of my favorite go-to restaurants.
