Ate lunch here recently with family. Service is always second to none. Courteous and gentlemanly. Food is traditional Northern Italian and a far cry from the pasta pizza joints all over Long Island. I had fresh snapper in light wine sauce. Was superb. Traditional veg as a side. Refined unhurried atmosphere. Lunch the way it should be!
I 've eaten here few times on my visits to the area. Old world charm, classic service, a Cheers where all of the regulars know the staff and vice versa. This time around I tried the crab meat cocktail and the Halibut with Dijon mustard. Both were great. My dining companions had other seafood specials (there were numerous) and one had pasta. No room for dessert. Definitely worth a try.
I have been coming here since I was a kid. Still one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. Food , service and atmosphere is always excellent. The crowd is a little older but who cares.
I've been going there for over 42 years. Consistency is their success. Never a bad meal. The veal meatballs melt in your mouth like no other. Over 40 years same servers and staff. Old world, they don't Make restaurants like this any longer. Experience it before it closes.
