When we arrived with a reservation which had to be @18:45 as 19:00 was full, there were many empty tables and at 19:00 many “walk ins” arrived and were seated. The young Zimbawean waitress was taught to recite the menu, which she did well. When asked questions about some of the dishes, she could not answer. Wine etiquette was nil. God help you if you find fault in this restaurant. If the rice is bland its because they want to enhance the rest of the meal. If you have to wait 45 minutes after your starter it's your fault for asking for it not to be served straight away. The burnt lemon butter sauce is a secret recipe which cannot be disclosed. Will defnitely go back. Host was friendly, welcoming and the food top notch quality regardless op the loadshedding issues.

The food here was absolutely delicious! What a hidden gem! The owners were around and super friendly. The service was great. We were glad we stumbled upon this restaurant when another place turned us down. The decor might be off-putting to some (eccentric/colourful/busy), but don't let it deter you.

In my opinion the best restaurant in Hermanus. Lovely owners who pay so much attention to their food and customers
