New China Express - Westerville

I stopped by for a late lunch and ordered the lunch special for under $6. It came with a generous portion of fried rice, an egg roll, and a drink. The fried rice was massive and loaded with chicken. The vegetable egg roll was crispy and absolutely delicious. What really stands out about this place is the friendly staff; they are always ready to help and create a welcoming atmosphere.

Now, regarding the side of fried rice… it definitely needs a bit of soy sauce, Tamari, or liquid aminos to elevate the flavor from bland. Personally, I enjoy it as is, but I like to have some plain rice and then add sauce later on. Yum yum sauce and ginger sauce would also complement it well. The rice itself isn't hard or overly soaked in soy sauce. I’ll definitely be back to sample more of their delightful entrees!

I've tried orange chicken from many places, but New China is undoubtedly the best I've ever tasted. I've been a regular here for years, and the dish is just as incredible as it was the first time I had it. The staff is wonderful, and the food is consistently delicious! If I could give it 6 stars, I definitely would!

I'm quite particular when it comes to Chinese restaurants and have high expectations. The food needs to be fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. This place offers the best Chinese food in North Columbus.
