Sorry, but this has to be said. I found Taste of Raj on Deliveroo and ordered poppadoms, dips, starters, 2x main courses, sides, rice and naan bread. Quite a significant spend. Delivery was supposed to be within 35 minutes. After 1 hour I rang to ask where our order was and was told that it was being prepared and coming soon . As always, where food orders are concerned, I didn 't go OTT on the phone regarding my displeasure at hearing this, as I don 't fancy having anyone who has had to deal with my complaint taking it out on the food (if you get my drift) because who knows?! When it arrived about 20 minutes later it was ok. Not terrible, not great, just mediocre, so I don 't know what the reviews about the brilliant quality are about tbh there are tastier Indian takeaways in Westhoughton. What the issue really is here is the fact that when it was eventually delivered, it wasn 't by a Deliveroo driver. It was delivered by their regular in house delivery man. I could have gone online and paid significantly less by ordering directly from their website if I had wanted to contend with the timeframes of their in house delivery schedule. What was the point in using Deliveroo‽ The only thing that stopped me exercising my right to claim a refund due to the length of time the order took to arrive was the fact that, with small businesses currently having to contend with increased costs on raw ingredients and energy bills, I didn 't want Taste of Raj to have to fork out for a free meal. However, they do need to take this review into consideration and not be so disingenuous in future. Don 't advertise on Deliveroo at massively hyped prices and promise food within their timeframes when you know that you are using your own regular delivery driver and that customers can get the exact same menu in the same timeframe by ordering from your own website and pay far less for it.
