Pretzel Peddler - Westland

This place has really declined... I've been a regular customer for years, but they seem to always be out of pretzels now. I asked a 16-year-old employee why that is, and she told me that her manager only allows them to make three pretzels at a time. So if you're behind someone who orders them, you're out of luck. It’s frustrating because pretzels are their main product—if they want to make money, they need to have them available for customers!

This restaurant is located on the hill and I’ve beencoming here regularly for years. However, they’re always out of sprinkles. So if you happen to arrive right after someone who orders them without toppings, you’re out of luck!

The dipping sauce is quite messy and might stain your clothes, so it’s best to avoid wearing white—unless you fancy getting a little daring in pink for the occasion. This restaurant is located in a quiet mall in West Detroit, which doesn’t see much foot traffic. While I understand that they don’t bake pretzels fresh to order, I always prefer them that way. Unfortunately, my partner’s pretzel was far from fresh; it tasted stale, and after a few bites, it ended up in the trash. From there, it was tossed out for the birds outside—though I’m not referring to the actual birds you might see in the sky. Overall, it’s not our favorite spot, but the girl who prepared our food was very nice.
