For those who do not know what Banh Cuon stuffs his rice battery with meat and dipped into dilute fish sauce. Yam potato fries are also really good.
This restaurant is called Banh Cuon Tay Ho 2 and it has the same name on Google Map. But the Banh Cuon Tay Ho on Yelp is called Banh Cuon Tay Ho 4 on Google map. They sell the same food and the same good quality, but I like this 2 as 4. The 4 has more fashion renovation, looks like a modern restaurant. But the two have more ethnic feelings. Compare the menus I take photos of both restaurants, it looks that the 4 is a little more expensive-0.25 dollars for each dish. Once I'm in little Saigon, this restaurant is always an option for me as well as Hui Oi and Brodard. I like the rolled cake, especially wrapped with tropical leaves and mixed with the sweet chilli fish sauce. The rolled cake is so soft and the taste is so good. The fried shrimp empura with yam is also good, but don't order the whole dish as it is already included in the rolled cake set. The whole plate will bite too much. I gave both 2 and 4 for 4 stars or 85 in 100.
Sweet family run spot with some authentic Vietnamese rice crepes. We ordered the Bun bo hue, #1 banh cuon dac, and #28 vermicelli shell with an egg roll and beef. We loved our dishes and especially the banh cuon. They have the textures right and the spices on the meat were on the point. The fried mung beans and shrimp cakes are delicious. The BBH is a passport for me. They stack on a lot of meat, but the broths and spices are gone. My friends and I enjoyed our meal and loved the traditional Vietnamese dishes.
Tried Bánh Cu needed Tây Hrill 2 according to recommended by both the locals and a family friend who had tried it during their trip. Very tasty and fast service.
I was nearby during a business meeting. I was having a hard time finding a parking spot. The place on has 2 reserved parking spot. I guess there can only be 2 parties dining there at a time. Unless they expect people walking to the place. We had to go around the building and parked at another business. The server greeted us and showed the table as soon as we walked in. He provided us with water right away and the menu right after. We ordered 3 specialty dished. It took about 7 minutes for all the food to come out at the same time. The food taste great for all of us. Luckily, we understood Vietnamese as it seemed like the place had trouble understanding English. There were so many people order to go as understably due to limited parking space.
