The Lobster Shack - Westport

We consider ourselves lobster enthusiasts, and I gave this restaurant a rating of 4 because it surpassed many options in the Stamford area. The lobster was freshly cooked, and instead of ordering two regular lobsters, we opted for one king-sized portion, which was $6 cheaper than two regular ones and was packed with lobster meat.

I ordered the fried whole belly clams, oysters on the half shell, fried calamari, and a Connecticut-style lobster roll. The service was outstanding, and the food was fresh and delicious. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were quite reasonable. The patio and cabana seating created a lovely atmosphere with a nice New England vibe. We live about 45 minutes away, and we would definitely return. The staff was very attentive, making the experience even better. It was worth every penny!

I tried two lobster rolls, the Compo and the Classic Maine. They were visually appealing, but unfortunately, the lobster in both was overcooked. At $60 for two rolls, they felt overpriced, especially since the lobster was a bit rubbery and the coleslaw tasted like it was store-bought. The staff member who served us was very nice, but overall, I wouldn't return. The price doesn't match the quality, and I can't recommend it.
