Nakama - WEXFORD

A group of ten of us arrived at the restaurant on Saturday at noon to celebrate a birthday. We were informed that they could prepare food for us, but it would be cooked in the kitchen and not in front of us. They also planned to seat us in the bar at separate tables. When two more people joined our party, we informed the three employees present that we were now a group of twelve. Unfortunately, they simply walked away and did not want to serve us. Disappointed, we decided to take our hungry and thirsty group to Longhorn instead. They were more than happy to accommodate us as customers. Additionally, it was mentioned that multiple attempts were made to call and make a reservation the day before, but no one answered the phone.

My family and I come to Nakama every year and are never disappointed!! We had great service and our chef Collin was so much fun!!! Having a great chef makes all the difference!! Plus he cooked our food perfectly and entertained us the whole time!!!Thanks for another great meal!!!

I ate lunch at the Japanese steakhouse Nakama. The restaurant was clean and had adequate space for customers. Our waitress was very nice and soon brought out our food. Our salad, soup, sushi, and hibachi meals were fresh and tasty.

I tried Hibachi for the first time and it was fantastic!

We have been going to this restaurant for years, usually for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries, but sometimes just because we love it. My whole family, including the kids, enjoy the food here and the hibachi experience. We usually get sesame chicken and/or steak. The fried rice is tasty, but it does cost extra. I prefer to stick to just the vegetables and meat. The kids' meal includes a drink and dessert and is a good portion size for a child. We always add extra veggies to the kids' meal for a small charge. The staff is friendly and the wait times are short. The sushi is also delicious and made in-house at the front counter. We don't always order sushi, but when we do, we enjoy it!
