Ignoring that it's REALLY weird to outright deny any form of digital payment in [CURRENT YEAR], I think every single place up this section of street has an ATM, and there's a bank down on the corner next to 7 Eleven. Just fair warning. I had a lovely conversation with the owner while waiting for my food, but it was clear that we were having problems understanding each other. Despite that, she just kept wanting to chat with me. It was absolutely dead that night because it was late and a holiday, so nobody was out. So I think she was just bored? I really can't blame her; so was I. It's why I was even there at all. xD The food was...okay? I've had better lo mein and way better egg foo yung, but I've also had way WAY worse crab rangoon. My main complaint was that it was just...WAY too much food. I know that's like...part and parcel whenever you order Chinese but...JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ it was an avalanche of noodles in a single box. A single order of egg foo yung fed me for three days and I notoriously have a bottomless stomach. The crab rangoon was gone before I got home (I live across the street lol) and the lo mein went bad before I finished it because there was just...TOO MUCH for one person to eat alone. Maybe I'm an idiot for ordering three different dishes of Chinese food for JUST me, but holy hells I didn't expect to have one of the MAIN DISHES go actually rancid in my fridge because it took so long for me to get through it. IT WAS A SINGLE BOX. WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE'S STILL HALF LEFT AFTER FOUR DAYS OF LUNCHES??? So yeah. Definitely not a single eater place if you order anything other than the combo plates. But I only spent $30 for all of that, not counting the tip. So like...that's fair I guess? I should've frozen half of it...jklfdjal;jfl;dajfda
Service is nice. Always get what I ask for. The food is very good. It can take a little time to be ready, but really, not bad. Parking: Parking is hard. To park, go on to Commercial street. There is free parking on the street but there is a walk down hill.
I was a long time customer of Peking Kitchen it was the only Chinese food place we'd go to because it was SO GOOD. Everyone knew our names and we knew theirs. Sadly about a year or so ago, the quality took a dive. We kept going back hoping it was just a weird period of time but it kept getting worse sometimes becoming inedible. The staff are lovely and the food used to be the best around I still crave it! I hope they address whatever changed so we can get back in there. We miss it!
The only good experience I had was I had a cordial delivery driver. It was my first time ordering from here and honestly I won't order from here again as I didn't like the taste of the food at all. I did a big order so not all of it was bad but a big portion of it was just tasted to tangy and indifferent. Never will order from here again. Sorry if you were once good maybe look into going back to it ok.
Sorry this place sucks, got General Tsos and the chicken wasn’t crispy at all and it just tasted like chicken nuggets, for $16 too what a ripoff, will not be back.
