Blackwood Coffee - Weymouth

Pop in here frequently for coffee. Their scones are amazing and lovely jam too! Service always friendly and efficient. Good atmosphere - can get very busy.

We visited Blackwood Coffee last week and amomgst the food ordered was a croissant with cheese and bacon for (I think) £3.45. This was pleasant but too expensive for what it is. The café could do with a few pictures on the walls. Wooden panelling is fine but the interior seemed a little bleak without much in the way of decoration or 'interior detail'. In sum, pleasant food, insipid interior and a little over priced.

We go here more or less every week. Coffee is always spot on ( if you believe coffee should be piping hot, go to Starbucks) and food is always good, albeit it's not an exhaustive menu. Don't understand why anyone would think it's too noisy, never had any issues.

Visited this place with family. I had been before and don't remember it being so bad. Americano (black) was so bitter I almost did not drink it. The one served with milk was a bit better. Hot chocolate was ok and the brownie was edible if a bit dry. The waitress neither greeted us nor acknowledged our presence. Once her attention was gained she took our order. She did not smile during service. The place was not that busy at 4.30pm on a Friday. Definitely give this place a miss in future.

The best coffee and cafe food in Morningside. We love the scrambled eggs, daily soups and scones. The staff are really friendly with efficient service. Great buzz and a really good diversity of customers. We won't go anywhere else in Morningside.
