Oaks Restaurant Cafe Bar - Whanganui

Very over priced for the quality of the food. Fish was bordering on being overcooked, wasn't moist and the salad did not seem fresh, without any dressing. Used to eat at the oaks some years ago and found it to be great back then, however after the meal we had tonight, we will not be back.

My 1st time there on the weekend! And it’s very disappointed! Very pricey and the food no taste at all! Long waiting and we were about to leave and forget about our dessert as we were waiting about 45 mins when we finished our mains! For me with the price and the amount of food they served its totally ripped off! Definitely my 1st and last visit to this restaurant.

Was twice recently and food was hit and missed. Portion size was everywhere. Some too big and other too small orders for bread were completely forgotten and meat was cooked for two on our table and overcooked on a separate dish for the second. Okay in a pinch, but not somewhere where I would look for a special occasion.

The tables were crammed too close together, made uncomfortable. Also the main dishes of the buffet seemed to be running out quicker then they were being brought out, it was busy but you'd expect a bit better organisation

I was seriously dissapointed when i took friends from out of town to ur restaurant. The seafood platter looked nothing like what u have displayed and u have sticky date puddings which had obviously been cooked in muffin tins and were very over cooked. Extremely disspointed when we spent about $150 which is including 4 drinks : Was not something that any of us enjoyed
