The Quay - Whangarei

My friends have blocked me on Snapchat because I sent them too many pictures of the tempura aubergine from this restaurant.

This place is worth visiting just for the underwater pizza. The broccoli melts in your mouth, making it a delightful experience. My friend insists that the salad is good, but I didn't get a chance to try it. Maybe I will if I can look beyond how amazing the pizza is. This review is an update from the previous one on October 1, 2022.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of products and the service is exceptionally friendly. While the drinks might be a bit overpriced, this is probably due to the location. We had to wait a while for our food, but it didn't bother us much; however, it's something to keep in mind if you're in a hurry. We received complimentary drinks, which was a nice touch. The tempura eggplant and pizza were both fantastic, and the portions were really generous!

Very impressed with the tempura eggplant which was amazing! Very large portion too which I wasn't expecting. Compliments to the chef.

The food here is fantastic for vegans and non vegans vege options are clearly marked and there’s even vegan wine available (although if I recall correctly these weren’t labelled as such on the drinks list) the bar makes a bangin pina colada and I’ll definitely be back for another one of their vegan pizzas. Nice outdoor seating area with heaters
