The salad was just a bagged mix of iceberg lettuce. I should have gone to Lao SzeChuan, where I could get the same or even larger portions for a similar price. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy, but the food was definitely not the best in the area. The General Tso's chicken was okay, but it tasted like something you would find at a buffet. I feel like I wasted my money by going out of my way to try this higher-priced ($11-16 per dish), highly rated restaurant only to receive mediocre food.
Kind of expensive but thats sushi for you. Tastes great and good location.
This Chinese restaurant is not your typical place where sauces are simply poured over every dish. The food we tried was thoughtfully prepared and our server even took the time to explain each dish to us beforehand. The restaurant was very clean and the service was quick. I am giving it 4 stars because we have only been once so far, but I can definitely see myself returning to try more dishes.
I made an excellent choice for lunch today. The restaurant was very clean and the service was respectful. I ordered the $8.95 lunch special (T-F), which included Pad Thai Chicken, Hot and Sour soup, and a Pork Egg Roll. I also ordered a hot tea for $2.00. The Pad Thai was flavorful but not too spicy, and the Pork Egg Roll was light and crispy. The Hot and Sour soup was delicious with a kick. The restaurant also has a sushi bar with seating, which I plan to try next time. They offer beer, sake, and wine but do not accept American Express. My fortune cookie message was, "If you can shape it in your mind, you will find it in your life."
Best Chinese food I've ever had. One of the best restaurants regardless of the type of cuisine. Enormous portions. The nicest, friendliest people.
