My friend had the grilled Halibut which was delicious. The garlic rolls are great but don't fill up on them. Phillpe was our server and was friendly and professional. He did a great job.
Four of us went there recently. We have been going for many years. The garlic rolls are the best! If you're used to the cute TIKI mugs, the Mai Tai comes in a crummy cheap plastic cup now. If you're used to the fried rice, you can still get it for an upcharge. If you like the huge salad bar, no more. I think it's because of Covid. The menu seems smaller. I know it changes, things are seasonal. Still, it seemed like fewer choices. Three of us liked our meals, filet, teriyaki shrimp, and tuna. My husband had 1 1/4 lb. Maine lobster. It came split in half with the insides facing up. It looked disgusting. My husband, who loves a whole lobster, said it was just fair at best. It didn't come with shell crackers, and the claws were not scored. I know shrimp and lobster prices are way up. All their prices seemed really high, even for Bob Chinn's where you expect them to be high. Our food did not come all at once It didn't seem like the real treat it used to be. It's really a no frills place.
Casual seafood/steak/sushi restaurant. Fresh seafood brought in daily and the deserts are excellent. You must also try the garlic rolls. Little pricy but very good food.
Great classic place with seafood, chops and tropical mai tais say no more, order the fresh Alaskan crab. Fresh and delicious
We've patronized bob chinn's many times in past. our party of 7 was for a birthday celeb.. pitchers of mai tai good as usual, the pina colada was surprising good. apps were raw oyster and calamari, steak/king crab and alaskan king crabs, all good as usual. Laura our server in the beginning was not friendly, but as the night went by she appeared to have warmed up a bit.
