The Causey Arch Inn - Whickham

What a fantastic hidden gem this place is. I only just left and couldn't wait to write my review! The open fire, beautiful decor, and cleanliness were all top-notch. Having traveled all over the world, we have never encountered a place where each individual staff member not only welcomes guests, but genuinely engages in friendly conversations and goes above and beyond to make customers feel at home. A special shoutout to Ashleigh, who greeted us and chatted with us before we even entered the restaurant! Laura, Lex, and the other staff members (I apologize for forgetting their names) were all fabulous! The service was 5 stars, the food was 5 stars, and the atmosphere was 5 stars. Overall, a perfect 100% rating. I would bring my family here if we didn't live over 2 hours away. Thank you again for an amazing experience. Tracy and Steve from Yorkshire!

I recently enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea at one of my favorite pubs. The experience was excellent value for money, and the staff were wonderful - nothing was too much trouble for them. I highly recommend this place for meals, drinks, or a casual evening out.

I recently dined at The Cache for the first time since it is under new management. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. I brought my baby son with me and was pleased that the staff were friendly and engaging with him. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning for more delicious food. (Unfortunately, the woman at the table next to us started eating her steak before I could snap a picture - it must have been that good!)

Had a selection of appetizers and sides, which beautifully presented and quite delicious. very friendly and relaxing place with magnificent views of the landscape around.
